Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program ®

 

 

As a BPI Accredited Contactor, Upstate Spray Foam Insulation, LLC are certified professionals in Home Performance. With assistance from the New York Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) "Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®" program, homeowners can now receive financial assistance to complete home improvements that save energy.

The incentives, coming in the form of subsidy programs (income-based guidelines) or low-interest loans are designed to help homeowners pay for energy improvements throughout their home.

The options listed below are four of the options that Upstate Spray Foam Insulation offers to assist existing homeowners.

 

Option #1

Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Incentive (Grant)

*This option is available to income-qualified homeowners, as part of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® commitment to making energy efficiency affordable to all New Yorkers.

  • $5,000 (maximum) available for single-family homes

  • $10,000 (maximum) available for 2-to-4 family homes

  • Incentive is paid directly to the contractor. Homeowner responsible for other 50%. Can be combined with Option #3 - Green Jobs/Green NY Loan.

  • Work must be performed through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program and completed by a BPI Accredited Contractor

Option #2

NYSERDA High-Efficiency Measure Incentive (10% Rebate) 
*No qualification process*

Available to all homeowners.

  • Homeowner receives cash incentive of up to 10% of the work scope (eligible measures only)

  • Incentive can be paid directly to homeowner by NYSERDA.

  • Any 1-to-4 family home is eligible

  • Work must be performed through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program and completed by a BPI Accredited Contractor

Option #3

Green Jobs/Green New York Loan

Low interest, unsecured loan, for 1-to-2 family, owner occupied homes

  • Interest rates as low as 3.49%!

  • Up to $20,000 loan limit

  • 3, 5, 7, or 10-year term

  • 24-hour approval

  • Work must be performed through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program and completed by a BPI Accredited Contractor
